Monday Night Wine Review
Joseph Castan Merlot 2009
Oc Vin de Pays, France
Crafted by the Castan family for over a century. They craft their own domaine wines and work closely with local producers in their region. They believe crafting quality wines for a great value. Silky and full of smooth blackberry and raspberry fruit. We found this wine to be very yummy and spicy!
From the land of Languedoc. Scorching hot days, cold nights and rocky terrain make for extreme winemaking. For more information, check out Wiki.
Best served with simple prepared red meat and strongly-flavored cheeses. In our case it went really well with Pizza Hut Pepperoni Pizza.
