Snap, Crackle, Pop!

The Fourth of July weekend was a BANG!  We were cordially invited to a friends lake house.....squeeeal!  I love invitations that require you to only bring bathing suits and drinks.  You know that the combination of bathing suits and drinks is going to make for a good time!  And, it was!  The kids both said, and I quote "it was the best Fourth of July I have ever had!".  I have to totally agree with them.  Okay, okay, I know, you want more details!  So, we arrived Friday evening and the kids took off running and chasing each other and squealing with delight as the adults squealed with delight that the kids were pretty well contained and we could consume our adult beverages (adult chasing showed up after so many aforementioned adult beverages).  We did our friends a favor and consumed as much food out of the deep freeze as we could all weekend.  Our hostess, Trayc made awesome breakfast's every morning!  To wake up every morning to the smell of biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon and hash browns, oh yeah, and coffee.  A girl could get used to that!  If you got up early enough, you could go outside and enjoy your coffee on the dock.....alone.  Which, I took full advantage of on Saturday morning!  Which brings me to Saturday's delights!  We started the day swimming in the lake, the water was soooo warm.  Which led to jet skiing, boating and tubing and more swimming and more jet skiing and more tubing.....you get the picture!  I am sore in places I didn't know I could be sore in.  The kiddo's and Donovan are sunburned.  Saturday evening, we enjoyed the fireworks show put on by the city of Centralia.  Then, we did our own show, which I thought was much better than the city's!  The kids had an absolute blast!  We left Sunday, July 4 for home and we were all in bed by 7:00!  It sounded like a war was going on outside with all of the neighbors shooting off their fireworks.  But, even the sounds of the celebration right outside wasn't enough to lure us out of our beds.
