Okay, so I started a new workout program. I hate to workout in a gym around a bunch of sweaty people. So, I workout at home and I like to use the world as my gym. As you can imagine, I lead a very busy life homeschooling my children. But, I don't let that get in the way of my health. "Those who think they have no time for bodily exercise will sooner or later have to find time for illness." Edward Stanley (1826-1893) from The Conduct of Life. It is imperative that I workout and keep my body flexible. I have back issues and when I don't keep my body in shape then I am in major pain and I'm at the Chiropractor two to three times a week which is expensive and not very much fun! Another issue I have is finding a good DVD workout program. I like to switch it up a lot because I get bored very quickly. So, I was doing some research and found Insanity! It's a 60-day total body conditioning workout. If you don't workout very often, I don't suggest this workout for you. It's a little advanced to say the least! It's entirely cardio and resistance and by the time I'm finished with these workout's, I'm soaked from head to toe in sweat. Which, for me, is what I expect after I'm done working out! I entirely believe that you have to work hard to see results.
So, I took my measurement's on day 5 of Insanity because I'm a dork like that and here they are:
Insanity - Day 5
Chest - 34
R. Arm - 11
L. Arm - 11
Waist - 27
Hips - 39
R. Thigh - 21
L. Thigh - 21
Weight - 145
Body fat - 24.38
I will post every 30 days my results. I am on day 9 today.
Also, they include a fit test that you perform on day one and then every two weeks. Here are my results from day one:
Switch Kicks - 120
Power Jacks - 41
Power Knees - 88
Power Jumps - 16
Globe Jumps - 14
Suicide Jumps - 16
Push up Jacks - 20
Low Plank Obliques - 60
Are you ready to dig deep?
WOW!! You go girl!
